Dear Anubis,

I am one of the dreaded newbie's that just came across this site and I briefly looked at your dosbox tutorial. although even those steps look a bit daunting to someone new to computers, it looks great that you took the time to spell out each and every step in an organized fashion. Thanks.

Yes, please do a tutorial for d-fend and anything else you think might be necessary/helpful to ignorant people such as myself. Any and all assistance is greatly appreciated and I will plant a tree in your honor. I hope to play arkanoid (an arcade game) on a budget laptop with XP. I saw an article in the doctor's office in PC Gamer magazine that talked about using Dosbox and D-fend in conjunction. But the article was very short. Any comments would be appreciated.
thanks.

Great Tutorial, now all that's needed is a, red, flashing sign (with a loud siren sound) saying "TO PLAY THESE GAMES USE DOSBOX, READ ABOUT IT [HERE]!!!!" every time you download a game. I estimate we'd get rid of about 25-30% of the posts made.

'tis both good and bad I supose...

Edit: Oh and about creating D-Fend, MDaemon and VDMSound tutorials, I'm all for it. I don't need them I suppose but in the end they'll help people and it's faster and easier to direct someone to a (hopefully great ) tutorial when they need help.
How about a DOS tutorial ??
I can write the basics

Rogue It's my mistake. Daemon Tools is what I meant. MDaemon is email server I've tried some time ago.

JJXB i knew what daemon tools was, i have used it in the past, now i just use the built in cd-mounting ablility of alcohol 120%

Wired I didn't see the M so I assumed it was Daemon Tools?

JJXB 1 question - what is Mdaemon? i tried looking it up but all i got was the mail server software

Dino Tutorial is very simple and easy to follow for beginners! Great work on that one, guys! k: However, I have some more complex issues with it than those which are explained in the tutorial so i will ask for help in troubleshooting or something like that... to save moderators from effort of moving my post!
