Same I want the same thing but i have Windows XP (Thinkpad) with only two USB ports (no COM). if i plug 2 mouses in these work as one mouse either in desktop or S2. P.S.I have a old logitech mouse with COM port but i don't have COM port on PC. (Sorry for bad English.) |

i dunno, try this? if Fatigue999 says that he has the mouse in ps2 and com and it works then i guess you could try buyng usb to com port. or google for an emulator. but maybe on dosbox forums they will tell you more about this, maybe it can be emulated in dosbox, i don't know about this dunno, a while of googling gave me this but i haven't even read it completely=P you can try or you can try emulating a mouse via keyboard, maybe it has com mouse in options, haven't tried neither well, that's a lot of trying i guess, good luck=P |

Fubb | what exactly would you search for on google to perform that, or would you have to script something?

_r.u.s.s. | i guess we'd need to emulate the com port for the mouse somehow

Its just a pc I use for older soft and games. I got another quite buffed up, which specs are: WinXP AMD Athlon 2.8GHz Ati Radeon 9600+ 512MB ram And on this one, Settlers 2 Gold work exactly as well on this combo without dosbox (I managed to run music but again no fx sounds, and I don't use dosbox for this game for it goes noticeably slower or sounds are chopped). Haven't tested dual mouse on this one for it doesn't have port for COM mouse. And I don't know if windows eve supports dual mouse with two cursors. Tried to find all over the net (starting at microsoft and ending on Google) but found only info that any Windows OS itself CANNOT HAVE DUAL MOUSE INPUT. If Win finds more mice than one, it gives em SAME CURSOR. TESTED MANY TIMES ON ABOUT 6 PC's |

I got Win98SE Compaq Armada E500 (notebook) P III 600 Mhz Ati RAGE mobility one mouse in PS2(or touchpad, it's emulated on same port) and one in COM And I run Settlers 2 without dosbox or anything and nicely with its MIDI music (didn't manage to make my pc play fx sounds) and, the COM mouse i use for multiplayer somehow doesn't work in Windows, even if I set up all manualy. I think game checks itself All possible ports for mouses and uses own mouse drivers, but this is just a speculation. P.S. If I remember well, then Settlers 1 second player could move cursor by certain keys on keyboard, of which I don't remember ANY. Don't know on S2 for I haven't tested. |

you don't suppose a Gravis Eliminator Game Pad Pro would work do you? Also, do you need to run it through DOSBox to make multyplayer work? Cause I am just running s2 gold normally, without DOSBox (don't ask me how I did it, because I don't know how I did it..) |

the "second" mouse is ACTUALLY the attached joystick. Which is utilized AS a mouse, But I'm not quite sure about this.... (haven't really tried it) Just thinking out load here. If it doesn't works (or makes sense), then DON'T bite my head off.... |
