_r.u.s.s. do you run dosbox in order to run the game?
can you tell us exactly your commands, os ,and everything?

also, somebody move this to troubleshooting

Yes, thanks, I got that in the meantime. However, I have absolutely idea how to start the game (it's Capitol Hill). Error plays every time I try it (on the CD or after a bizarre installation that's not really an installation).

zirkoni .ecm is a compressed file. You need to run unecm.exe to extract the file.

Did you get this game from AB's ISO cellar? There's usually a batch file and unecm.exe included in the archive. If that's the case all you have to do is double click the batch file to unpack the .ecm file.

.ECM extension?

I have a big .ecm extension file, next to tiny .cue and .ccd files for a game.

How do I run it?
