That did it! Thanks a lot!

and which version of dosbox you're using?

by the way, it is an old game, it doesn't have any fabulous sounds. maybe you hear it as you're supposed to and you don't even know you are. here is an example of the sounds in the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_8MwL...eature=related
version 0.72.0

set it to max and it flipped out!

What should these be?

core=auto
cycles=10
cycleup=500
cycledown=20

The sound speach is unclear and you can't make out what is being said..

core=auto
cycles=10
cycleup=500
cycledown=20

I am using dosbox. The game plays, but the sound is the problem.

Castle Wolfenstein Sound Problems!

I just downloaded Castle Wolfenstein and the sound is garbled and almost unreconizable. How can I fix this? I tried the suggestions in the help files but nothing worked. Below are my basic machine specs.

Intel i7 quad processor
4GB DDR3 Memory
Windows Vista Home Premium
X-Fi Titanium Sound card
2x Nvidia 9800
Gigabyte Mother board

This was one of my first computer games back when it released on the Mac and I'd love to play it again!
