Yes that's right, Shadow Warrior doesn't have any in-game MIDI music unlike Duke Nukem 3D (Shadow Warrior is a clone of Duke). It plays any music CD fine though, but it isn't enough to just put in the music CD into the drive, you need also to mount that drive in DosBox for it to be recognized, like (assuming your CD-drive has a letter D): mount d d:\ -t cdrom That should fix the problem. |

No Music In Shadow Warrior (DOSBOX) Hey all, I recently got Shadow Warrior from 3d Realms (of Duke3d fame) and think it's a fantastic game! I've set up DOSBOX and get a perfect frame-rate and working sound-effects, but can't seem to get any music. At first I thought I needed to use CD Audio, but when I put in the disc, still nothing. Worse still, I looked in the options menu and the field for "Music Volume" was grayed out. When I press the Enter key whilst highlighting the Music field, I get a message about "MSCDEX not being loaded" (or something to that extent). Is there any hope for me enabling this missing file or any of the like, because I'd really like to have mah background music. |
