Luchsen | You can't execute a PDM file because it is no executable. BATs, COMs and EXEs are executables. |

Nope, the archive from AB is prince of persia.zip, not a PDM file. You didn't give any details about your mount lines, so I can't give you any detailed instructions. Basicly: Unzip all the files from prince of persia.zip in a folder in your virtual C: , name it prince run dosbox, mount your virtual C: and from your C: prompt input: cd prince prince ..... And the game runs. Should you need an unzipper (Vista's one is completely worthless) get 7Zip, fully Vista compatible and freeware. http://www.7-zip.org/ If you need more instructions also read: http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showthread.php?t=19982 [Edit] BTW, no need to run install, the game is ready to run in dosbox. |

Prince of Persia + Dosbox + Vista I really want to play Prince of Persia (Original). I've downloaded the dosbox thing and got it set up ready for the c: thing. I've then downloaded the game and now i'm stuck. I extracted the files to a subfolder under the dosbox but when i click install it says that no format supported> i think its a PDM file..any ideas any one or even a step by step tutorial, bearing in mind i am not very good at this stuff! |
