mottamort I used to play this game with my brother. i remember to scrum you had to mash left+right or something to make your guys push...but i also remember he had a secret way of making the arrow (where ball is) move towards him regardless of if i was pushing harder...i STILL dont know how to do that

anyone know?

World Cup Rugby '95 is actually the game we played, not sure if the keys are different. google allowed me to check that its basically the update of the game

I seem to remember playing a very similar Rugby League game to this one - this appears to be Rugby Union. The similarities between league and American football are probably even more accurate.

Tactically, Rugby and Yanquiland Football have very few similarities.
I must say Rugby is a far more beautiful.
And I´m from a country where football (soccer for those who understand otherwise than the rest of the world)
is the most popular sport.

mcgiffen We used to play this when I was in College in 1996, we never got bored of it and me and my mate used to love the challenges of playing each other. I guess we are spoilt with choice now days.

The Fifth Horseman Given that it's a joystick-controlled game, the controls will most likely be limited to cursor keys (or numpad) and one or more fire buttons (that would typically be ALT, CTRL, SPACE, SHIFT or ENTER; if none of the above, then try the letter keys).

Christo I played this game with one of my friends for months and never got tired of it. The controls was not that bad,I think it was really good for its time.

Since when are France, Argentina, Italy or Japan part of the commonwealth ?

Since rugby originated in England, and is far more popular in Commonwealth nations than in those countries, the comment regarding the Commonwealth is more than valid.

Although they DO play rugby, the numbers playing "soccer" in those countries are orders of magnitude greater... :bleh:
