Data well you should set ems=false in dosbox.conf

but the game won't work in 0.63
You will need this version:

sneft okay so i found my old copy of origins "strike commander" which is a very good game i must say. I installed it and everyting seemed okay until i tried running it. It refuses to run on Ms dos prompt (im running windows ME ) and says it will only play on 'real' dos. I tried loading it up through dosbox then but got this message:

Protected mode driver is not responding to EMS function calls. Make sure your EMS driver is not configured with the NOEMS option. If it is, replace the option "NOEMS" with "RAM"

how can i go about doing this? what can i do?? help please
