And i don't know why you are complicating things ...As i said we should interview only developers who released their games as freeware
But we would run out of them sooner or later... so it's just a precaution..

Titan This is MAJORLY important..

NOONE is to contact ANYONE here...
If we decide to do this, it's KOSTA, and noone else, who are to do this.

We've had this debate/discussion regarding AW many times, and it's not a gray area in many cases.. in most cases it's purely illigal.. no but or if here.. it's illigal.
A company holds the copyright for 75-90 years on ALL software, unless they say otherwise..

Also companies gone broke isn't subject to AW, since either theire name has been bought, or the founders/owner of company still owns the NAME itself.. Good example is: In sweden there was a web-creator companie named "Framfab".. they went brok, and closed..
Another guy opend a company, making totaly different things.. but the name was still registerd in the name and patent-office, and he had to change his name, and the name was ©copyrighted/™Trademarked for another 50 yrs more or less.

But... i have an idea i wanna talk to Kosta about thou regarding this..

Stroggy and even then, who are you planning to contact?

Al Lowe?

The only guy I know that worked on a lot of famous old games that is always happy to give an interview is Frank Klepacki (made the music for almost all westwood games)
And between marrying, releasing a new album and working with Petroglyph on a new RTS game I don't think he has much time

Tom Henrik I am waiting for Kosta to reply to that.
26-10-2004 12:46 PM
Iron_Scarecrow Well for me it isn't really a big deal. I wouldn't take much notice of it.

Sean I think that only people that have publicly declared there game as freeware should be interviewed...

All others may want their games to be removed..
