Thanks! It works! But I have no sound now! For all the others: I had to put the setup.exe from the CD in compatibility mode, too to run the installation. |

I think you can only play over the internet multiplayer under the windows version. Also the largest size maps are only available under the windows version as well. Hmm, I have Star General too, let me check. edit: well I can't find the cd right now (I am lousy at having the cds where I can find them, but I did install and play the game a few weeks ago. I still have the game installed and from what I can see I have used the compatibility options on for the executable. The options I have are Run for windows 98/me, disable visual themes, turn off advanced text services. Also remember to first install the patch since it fixes a few things that need to get fixed. If you are still having problems just post them here. |

I own a CD of Star General with both, the DOS and the Win 95 versions. With DosBox the DOS version runs perfectly well, but I can't run the Win 95 version under XP. Can anybody help me? Is there a difference between the DOS and the Win version? |
