fender178 Well I got the game working under windows 3.11 which I installed under dosbox.

Malik This is a common problem seen in Sierra's adventures, not just limited to this game. I've experienced it in Quest for Glory II and King's Quest V.

IMHO, I think you should do the quests in a different order. Do something else which triggers another sequence elsewhere before returning to the other appartments.

I'm not sure of the speed factor though but I think the core should be set at normal and taper down the cycles to 4000 or less, depending on your actual machine.

fender178 There are less files after the instillation.

Eagle of Fire Do you happen to have more files installed this way?

I am only half surprised. Old games who have both DOS and Win install options usually have different install files.

fender178 Well here is something interesting. I installed the Windows version under windows 3.11 under dosbox and that worked no error msg.

fender178 Ya Or maybe an Iso of the original cd.

Eagle of Fire Installing directly from the original CD is your sure bet then!

fender178 No I dont have an original cd I just download the iso one member of the site was able to make for me. Im going to have an original cd soon though I just bought one. I should have it next week some time.

Eagle of Fire If you have the original CD then I strongly suggest that you simply use DOSBox, mount your D: drive like a normal CDrom drive and then install the game.

If you simply "purchased" a ripped version... Then I don't really need to search further to understand why it doesn't work. I am not sure I understand you fully anyways. Do you actually have an original CD?

And then keep using DOSBox to play the game once it's installed, if possible.

AlumiuN Try installing it under DOSBox. DOS things tend to work much better under DOSBox than XP (or, God forbid, Vista).
