Sure, but it still uses hella lot of resources, and as I told you earlier DosBox produces some weird errors and bugs with games...still. For the sake of argument, I dug up some of my old games that are compatible with both DOS and W98... guess what, the w98 version runs fine on the VM but the dos version has the gremlins ranging from speed problems and freezes to unexplicable bugs. So I'm staying right here with the VM thankyouverymuch.

_r.u.s.s. no, vmware is more slow than dosbox, if emulating the same os (dos)

if it's slow for you, you messed up settings

Playbahnosh Slow? Well, not really, at least I don't see any impairment in speed as of yet. Sure, the VM need some extra resources, but if you have 2 gigs of RAM and some gigs of HDD space to spare, it's quite alright.

You know what is slow? DosBox is slow.

_r.u.s.s. it's "ultimate" but slow

Playbahnosh I managed to find a solution. As I said, I installed that MS Virtual Machine and installed my dusty win98 on it, installed Fallout, patched... everything works fine now. Well, I had some problems since I installed Virtual Machine Additions to the w98 system, but minor things.

So... the ultimate solution for every problem was this virtual machine. Oh, and thanks for the tips peoples

Kilaps is a really good patch man, I like, pretty much stopped experiencing problems with FO2 after i got it
