I'm LOVING Creepers: this game (along with many of the other DOS games) was part of the happiest memories of my childhood... it's great having it again. Two things, though: a) Does anyone else know how to get past the level called "Maximum Wait"? I remember being stuck on that one when I was younger, and I have no idea how to get past it- STILL. There don't appear to be any objects which change/move/do things which will allow the creepers to get to the bowl. I've tried leaving time tick on and seeing what happens: nothing. And.. every time I've THOUGHT about the game, I've actually tried to find a hint book for help because it is REALLY annoying me. Yes, all these years later: IT MAKES NO SENSE. Thing #2: I adore the music, but for some reason mine's playing oddly on my computer, and I can't work out why. When I first had a copy of the game, it sounded a lot more complex and less "synthesizer-y" and now it has this dullness to it and it's lost some of its coolness... and it does that no matter what settings I put the sound options on. Is it my sound card, or something else? I'd really appreciate some help here, people! And to whoever uploaded it and set this site up: THANKYOU. Seriously. My kids are going to be able to experience the same very cool- and very cute- problemsolving that I had when I was a kid. I totally appreciate it. |

It would be really nice if you could scan manual/instruction... some advanced level has weird solutions, so it could help a bit... |

The weird part about it is that it *does* work under Windows XP if you use the Creepers.com file. I managed to play up to level 8 that way, but then it freezes randomly when you click on a tool, or try to use a tool at any part of the screen. That said, it should be an easy fix making this game work without freezing but it's beyond me. On the bright side, unlike some people who posted, I love this kind of game. I think you need to know how to appreciate the genre before you can really appreciate its value. Great game. |
