Tom Henrik FINALLY!!!

I AM BACK AND READY TO ROCK!

Let me clear up a few things...
Yes. We have changed the server (again). This time Kosta has got a dedicated server for our beloved site, meaning that ONLY Abandonia will be hosted! And we feel pretty sure that we can promise you all a 100 % uptime.

For those of you who are interested...
Abandonias new home will be located on ServerMatrix. You can find out some more info here:
http://www.servermatrix.com/tour/tour.php

As for the reason to why we had to change server again, it was because the old host desided to delete the entire site without warning. (Something they could do because of the contract). Basically Abandonia strained their server soo much that the other sites they hosted experienced problems. So once again, we found ourselves without a server because we got way too popular

As for the long time it took for the site to become operational, it is because the site couldn't have been deleted at a worse time. Kosta had just given me the keys to the site, and was on his way to his car in order to travel to his summerhouse... when suddenly the site was GONE! Kosta decided to delay his vacation by a whole day, just to get the new server. After that one of his best friends took over while Kosta where on vacation. This guy placed all the back-up files out on the new server and made the site available again. It is these two Croatians we must thank for having the site online again.

Another problem was that I was locked out from the site until now. (Not because of any problems with the site). The reason was that my internet supplier didn't refresh my DNS... What this means is that although I KNEW the site was operational, my laptop DIDN'T! So all I got was the "Server not found" page we all love.

Anyways. The site is once again up. I can access it too...
Meaning new updates are arriving shortly!

I really want to thank The Picard for taking the wheel.
(You should do it more often  )

FreeFreddy Yeah, hurry up, Tom and me, we have already overrun all others with post-counts.

mika I was there, just quietly leeching files and trying to help Kosta with some php scripting (Kosta: which we never got right did we).

Anyone out there know what RSS is?

Danny252 wow
I still remember the old abandonia. No Picard, no tom henrik(so yes, it was quiet) no Mika, mainly me, Kosta and Titan(yes, he's old). There wasn't even a forum when I doscovered abandonia! Then we started a daily upload routine, like we have now. Now, I'd best get onto mofre messages..

Seraphim13 Woot!
Didn't realise how addicted I was to Abandonia until it went down. Was clicking on my bookmark to check whether she was up for the past few days.

Right now we have a total of 500MB worth of games and site (pictures and the like) up. The total bandwidth runs in the terabytes (TB). This will be gone quickly once a single games becomes several hundred MB's. So will be monitoring the usage closely.
 huge...
And yes, i think that you should link anoucements, that firs post would be shown in the site and there would somthing like "coment" and visitor wuold be transported to the forum.
