Hmmm.... ok maybe it is one of these? http://www.ninjaplease.com/pacgen.html Is it the 640 x 480 no CD one? http://www.ninjaplease.com/pacgenfiles/PACGEN-WIN-4.zip ? Hmm....it's not a patch....but a new exe file. Seems to work. |

The link to the patch is dead (Compuserve no longer exists). Also, the game keeps crashing at the same points, meaning I can't get past the first few levels. Even saving the turn before the crash and reloading the game from that point makes not difference. I'm on XP, and there are no gaps in the folder name. Can the patch be put on Abandonia? |

Standard winxp 32 bit os no frills, and btw I'm a veteran of Panzer General from way back so it's unlikely to be human/interface facepalm |

Chris | It's a Win95 game. PG should run fine in XP (it does for me at least), so I don't have a solution for your speed issues, sorry. Another topic is the crashing after the first turns of the Japanese campaign. There's a fixed exe for XP, which solves this problem. The link can be found some posts above. Don't know if it also solves your problem, but you might want to give it a try.

no that's not it. unless the folder needs to be exactly C:\GAMES\PACIFIC\ I put it in D:\igre\pacgen and it was slow. i will try putting it into C and see if it actually helps. |

gregor | works very, very slow on XP. I tried compatibility mode (win 98 or 95) it doesn't seem to be helping. and it's not a dos game right?

Luchsen | It was red's idea and he made the King's Quest one and tested it with King's Quest 1. I picked it up, added it to the other King's Quests, made more logos, created that unpractical and always not up-to-date list in Knowledge & Tutorials, added a tag group and tags to be able to link the logos/to list the series. Chris somehow took it over. Perhaps that's what my teachers meant with teamwork, but what they never could explain, think through and organise.
