BranjoHello |
Unfortunately or fortunately (depending on point of view) this is now sold on GOG. I guess they'll also make a CF bundle soon. |

Ah yes, cannon fodder 2! the original was a real beeeatch to get working (took me an entire week in the early 90's to det the damn thing to the title screen) As I recall, it has RIDICULOUS (for the time) memory requirements... Tips (as I remember it from the days of DOS 5). Give it as much conventional and EMS memory as possible (yes EMS nor XMS - that's Extended, not eXpanded memory) up the "Files=x" to at least 25 If you are doing this in an oldschool DOS bootdisk, remember to add the following line into the config.sys file) DOS=HIGH,UMB This line will load as much of DOS into Higher memory (640KB - 1MB) as possible, maximising free conventional memory. I think this game taught me enough about computers that I ended up supporting them for a living... Hope this helps people - at least it will give you a place to start tweaking settings. |

Well, you're not supposed to. But there are tutorials all around that explain setting up DosBox thoroughly. You'll get it done! k: Look at the DosBox Wiki |
