methuselah I am running Mandriva Linux 2007.0 with Wine 1.0 installed. Running the Darkseed 2 download found here under Wine displays a message box asking me to reset my display resolution to 640x480, which I do not want to do, just to run a single game. Has anyone had better success running this game under Wine?

No it didn't,

I tried to catch more of the error message just now and it is saying something like this:

load glue file: unable to load glOO file

WTH is a glue file?

At any rate, I don't really care what it is, but how to fix it is the question.

Any ideas?

Thanx,
Geo

Dark Seed 2

Hello,

I have downloaded a couple of games from the site. One of the first was the original Dark Seed game in which I was able to play in DosBox. I had absolutely no problems with the game there.

However, now I have downloaded Dark Seed 2 and it plays through Windows XP. So installed the game there and I do get the introduction and first conversations in the game, but when control is reverted back to me, if I try to leave the first room or examine anything in the room, about 10 boxes pop up saying that I have a "stack overflow" error.

I would like to know how to rectify the problem.
