Can't seem to get game working I can't get this game to play at all. I'm running it in DOSBOX, and anytime I try running monte.exe, all I get is a black screen. Anyone know how to get the game running? I played this years ago and would love to be able to play it again. Thanks ahead of time! |

For those whose game crashes in WinXP when playing cutscenes, try replacing smackw32.dll with a newer version. Also, sorry about warez link. |

I gave this one a whirl yesterday, only to find out its quite a kickass. Combat's a bit weird and sometimes it feels like hits arent effective, but the platforming parts are really great. Also, I think the review should mention that it has the old Montezuma's Revenge as a bonus. It works on Windows too. |

For those wanting a complete(cutscenes and all), patched version of the game, there's CD rip of v1.29W [EDITED] New features include mouselook, different player/pick-up sounds(somewhat dissapointing here), cool FOV distortions(death, swimming, injury), boss savegames, performance improvements, etc. Cheers and happy gamming! |
