Don't worry about it. Without access to a different control panel you couldn't see the posts requiring approval anyway.

Yesterday the main site became slow, so I thought: Oh, there is something in progress. And now the translation panel is active!

The Fifth Horseman The Translator group was for some reason set so that posts in that forum were always placed in the moderation queque (and thus required moderator approval before appearing).

I've approved both your posts and changed the setting which caused the problem to what it should have been to begin with.

kajjj I can access the translators forum now (thank you fifth and sorry I didn't know about the announcement) but I can't post there...

I wrote two posts (polish thread) and both were gone as soon as I left the forum.

If it's normal then just ignore me, but there are some relatively new posts there, so obviously not everyone has the same problem.

As I'm not sure if it's a bug I'm posting here...

Sebatianos Well, I know about bugs in the forums, but I am far less bothered by them then by the fact that I always get the message a game archive is being added (when it hasn't), no possibility to insert a hyperlink in the review, not being able to continue an update after previewing it (that's the only feature concerning the updates that acctually got fixed so far), not being able to add zip files as extras (only picture or text files)... those are just some of the things hindering the updating (and no, no game was updated prior to the switch over), so no, the statement I made was not political.

In order for all of it to be fully tested it had to become fully operational (optherwise we'd be running two seperate abandonias and would have to merge them back together somehow - without really having tested everything).

Eagle of Fire Well, that's a very political statement to do Seb. I don't want to speak against you or anything, but every single bugs (that I was able to test) I see right now on the site was reported by me to Kosta. Things like the search bugs (it's not working) and stuff.

But that's not really important bugs, I even said so myself. The biggest problem is from the forums, which never got tested before they switched to it! In fact, I was certain that they'd keep the old forum running until we tested the new forums, but it wasn't the case.

This is the only reason why the forums looked so much like shit when they switched the whole site over to the new version. Bugs/missing features on a new site is something which is bound to happen. Using an Alpha board as a finished product is simply stupidity itself, if you ask me...

Since the whole community of Abandonia is centered in the forums... Why do you think everybody keeps complaining? And for good reasons... *sigh*

The thing is, that until the new lay out was put in use many of the bugs didn't even show up.

There were test updates before, but since there were not two seperate Abandonias being run, those were just dry runs and half the problems never showed up (or occured to anybody that they might happen).

I guess if we'd switch back to the old design there would be no way to even identify all the possible bugs, let alone fix them. hopefully things will pick up and the bugs will start to dissapear soon.

_r.u.s.s. cause they have prepared this for quite a long time and i think they just wanted to show that at least something is happening and show the 'almost working version', but it's gonna stay almost working for good if nobody works on it=l

Geezer Seb, thanks for giving us some insight. Why did they switch Abandonia over when there were still all these bugs? Did it have to do with the merger with Studentis? Was there no other choice?
