Yes, DOSBox. Ok, good advice. I will check it out.

Thanks!

Desert Strike with a gamepad

Hi. I'm trying this for the first time and I can't fire missiles with the joystick (gamepad), only the machine gun. Anyone know how to make it work properly?

Ok, I figured out. The spacebar change between weapons.
You move and fire the Apache with the gamepad, but you must use the keyboard as well.
Not the best control layout, but it is playable.

The Fifth Horseman From what I'm reading, Valdez is in the second mission, not in the first one.

Dave It could be a problem of bad porting from Genesis/Amiga to Dos.
Don't know, maybe using a code for the second level could help?

alex10 I did try saving all of them as well, but no go

Maybe it's a copy-protection issue? You can play the game without entering the code, but not with Valdez.

Dave I did that, but I don't remember his real position, if you want to be sure you must rescue all MIAs agents. You can use the minimap to locate them.

However I've found this on the net:

Quote:
In the northwest corner of the map you will see a plane crash and a gunfight. Kill the green guy and pick up the brown guy; it's Valdez! Make sure to blow up the downed plane to protect the sensitive avionics software onboard.

alex10 Has anyone been able to rescue the missing co-pilot? Supposedly you can get him from the first mission, near the crashed plane in the north-west corner.

I've rescued him many times, but he just doesn't show-up in the pilot selection...
