Flop AFAIK these programs (at least the 3 I have) are only usable with DOS games, and while it's possible, even probable, that abandonia doesn't have all the games they support, I don't see a problem with it.

Of course, some of the games they support are bound to be ESA protected, but I have noticed that we still offer the manuals and codes for those games, so again, I don't see a problem.

Tom Henrik It does. Crack programs can be used for non-abandoned games aswell.

BeefontheBone The problem with some of those is that they could be used for games which we don't provide, and I'm not sure what to make of that - it smacks a bit of warez to me.

Yeah, some of the games are already cracked (what's up with that, anyway? I thought abandonia only used original, untouched games.), and the ones that aren't usually (if not always) come with the codes. However, I personally dislike having to check for those codes every time I play a game, so I prefer to crack it. I might be the only one, in which case I'll shut up, but otherwise I can't see any reason to not put them on abandonia. All three programs together take less than 1 MB of space.
well i have about 23 crack programs to dos games such as

cheat251,cheatengine250beta2,crackaid339,crackerma te210,cracklock30,
crackmaster25,crock232,dprotecter32,gamewizard32pr o30,hackfile327,
locksmith201,locksmith_131,neverlockuniversalsprin g96,noguard60,patcher65
,qcrack,RAWCOPY,Rawcopy PC,the_patcher_v6.5,universalpatch205,unlimitedche ats30b,xbrain23999r3

and those programs i got from other abandonware sites.

so i would think it would be ok to upload them since some of the games are quite annoying when it comes to copy protection.

(and i think it would help alot of dos games fanatics )

The Fifth Horseman Let's say it, most of the games here are either already cracked or supplied with a crack or protection codes.

If you find anything with unsolved protection issues, then just go, tell Kosta what is wrong and that you have a solution.

Flop I have on my computer 3 programs for cracking old copy protected DOS games, and I was thinking that it might be a good idea to host these on abandonia. A number of the games on abandonia are copy protected (I assume one of the reasons for this is the fact that abandonia tries to keep the games as close to the originals as possible), and while the codes are usually available for download, or at least in the game topics, I thought that some people might prefer to just crack the games to avoid having to refer to the manual all the time.

These programs are very easy to use, and can only be used to crack specific games. So what do you think?
