Hmmm, crap, indeed.

It's "F5"
You can see what key will perform what action when you look @ the lower menu bar...

When you hit F5 the sign jumps to that cross like icon, that's 'stop'.
Also: keep your CPU cycles low, or that barbarian acts as on speed pills.

[Edit]
Man o man o manemater, 3 minutes on that game and I'm almost a nervous wreck .... .
BTW, you can also shut 'numlock' off and play with the numpad, combinate actions with key ''5'' .. or something.

Seemed much easier when I was a lot younger and on a slow 286 .....

Ah well, to conclude: hit a lot of keys, sooner or later you find something.
Must also be that the old keyboards with their limited key layout acted differently.
Maybe I will give that game another try on my ol'PC with an antique IBM 'clickety clack' keyb without all those extra keys.

Hmmmm, on second thought, no way, I pass.

eugene425 Hello all! I need some help/How stopped Barbarian?

Karterian I remember playing the C64 version back in the day. It was a bad game even then. The amiga version was a huge hit because of its sampled voice at the beginning of the game (!) I remembered how i went all the way back just to see a well done text (as far as i remember). After some time i bought an amiga and tried the game on the amiga for a few minutes. I turned it off and played north and south instead. Not psygnosis' best game ever.

viejator After killing the wizard and droping the orb into the pit, i never jumped into the pit.. to finish the game you must go aaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way back to the beginning to the first screen.. then you finish the game.

...

EDIT: I just finished the game and i jumped to the pit.. that's the unofficial way to finish the game.. as you completed 100% of the game... but the real ending is when you go back to the first screen =P take it as alternative endings:

Good Ending: You killed the mad wizard and saved your tribe.

Bad Ending: After you killed the wizard you became possesed by an evil force wich makes you jump down to the bottomless pit.

lol

WhoDied Yeah, I played this game on my Amiga about 20 years ago...LOL

Anyway, the trap-door archer, just run and flip over his arrow (takes precise timing, but you can do it!)

The dragon - run and flip....

I remember the worst part being a spinning hammer, that took brutally precise timing... but that was just me.

I think, if I remember correctly, you are supposed to drop the ball off the cliff - then go all the way back to the start?

I could be wrong.

Anyway, one fun thing in this game is the 'runaway' command - it's hillarious! he makes this little 'help' scream then runs for the hills with both hands in front of him, like an old mummy in an even older horror film.

And this emoticon fits perfectly, LOL
