raymondobasildon Thanks for all your help. It is now running fine (though the audio is a bit rough).

I basically just uninstalled everything and started again from scratch. Will now enjoy the game.

I also changed to full screen with the following:

fullscreen=true
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=1024x768
windowresolution=1024x768
output=opengl

Once again thanks for all your help

Smiling Spectre Well, sorry for long wait. I was... somewhat engaged in last weeks at home.

I tried today to install and run game from my cds. It works.

So, I can guess several problems.

1. Try to use the same disc for run as you did for install. I.e., install from D, if you are mounting D afterwards.

2. Try to use exactly the same dir that you did used during install. As I remember from my WinXP days, game was very picky about where to install. You can select anything, but game would work only if installed on C:\DW2. Any other dir returns error on run (and maybe it was exactly "Insert disc 1", I cannot remember now).

In your case you are (obviously) installed to DW2, but trying to run the game from C:. Change your string
mount c "c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\DW2" to
mount c "c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\", and try again. (You'll need, of course, do "CD DW2" after "c:" before run the game.

Smiling Spectre Hmm... Now you lost me. But as I remember, there _was_ some problems for me when I installed DW2... Need to check it. I will tell you results later.

No. I installed it from k: where I'd copied cd2. It entirely installs from that disc then requires cd1 to run.

raymondobasildon So the end of my DOSBox options currently looks like:

[autoexec]
# Lines in this section will be run at startup.
# You can put your MOUNT lines here.
mount c "c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\DW2"
# mount k "c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\DW2\cd2"
# mount d f:\ -t cdrom 0 -label DW2_CD1_ENG
imgmount d c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\DW2\cd1img\DW2_CD1_ENG.c ue -t cdrom

c:

I've hashed out lines I was not currently trying.

When opened, DOSBox reads:

Z:\>SET BLASTER=A220 I7 D1 H5 T6

z:\>mount c "c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\DW2"
Drive C is mounted as local directory c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\DW2\

Z:\>imgmount d c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\DW2\cd2img\DW2_CD1_ENG.c ue -t cdrom
MSCDEX installed
Drive D is mounted as c:\users\Raymond\OldGames\DW2\cd2img\DW2_CD1_ENG.c ue

Z:\>c:

C:\>

I type in dw2 to start (dw2 is a batch file that basically is @ECHO OFF; dwb)

All the intro runs fine with sound (a little distorted - it varies).

When I click on NEW GAME it prompts for CD1

raymondobasildon I have additionally tried making an image of the cd (bin/cue - as my burner says it can't do iso on this type of cd), and using the imagemount (of the cue file) approach.

The dosbox system each time shows that it has correctly mounted to d but the game then can't seem to find it.
