@Wael: Sorry I missed it. OK, just downloading the game and will let you know! 14.000 cycles sounds about right (usually it's 9.000 or between 12.000 and 15.000). Will let you know soon! EDIT: Just hold control and press F12 so many times you get up to 12.000 cycles. Works fine for me! |

blood is best played using vdmsound, but you need to use a bunch of other things on it .. cli2nop, nolfb.com, a dos4gw replacement, some obscure settings, etc etc etc i will get around to making a guide for how i got blood running perfectly on winxp (although not with in-game music, using the cd music) but i am lazy so dont hold your breath |

@wael, what /- represents at the end of your post? @guest - you have to check your CPU usage while using F12. Do not use 100% as it will again slow the game. (in my case, about 14000 cycles) Proper setup of cycles (you can default them to something different in config file) and frame skeep should make this game run nice on 1.6 GHz machine, but picture should look better by using of VDMSound. (if possible) I can't try it now, as I'm at work atm. |

Which game? Different games need different speeds and frame cuts - and some would run better in VDMSound (at least faster). |

You could possibly try to run it with a bootdisk, Or... From A Faq of HotU "Many of these games were designed for 386 or older systems, and will run to fast as to be unplayable on new computers. Therefore, you need a slowdown program such as Moslo, Turbo, Bremze, PITSET, or Speedset first to slow these oldies down. Make sure you read the instructions in each program on how to adjust speed manually, since the default speed setting may be too fast or too slow for your computer. We highly recommend Speedset because it not only slows down programs, but also speeds them up" |
