Dave Not sure but it reminds me of Ascendancy:

Star General

As everyone else, I got memories from way back, of playing a demo of a strategy game which I remember to be windows based, most likely Win 95 era or so.

Anyways, it was a turn based strategy game set with space ships and planets.
The sectors you moved your ships in per turn, even planetside was hexagons, but what really got me interested if I remember correctly was that on hostile planets you could land and command the ground forces in turn based combat.

I cannot remember the title of this, and I have browsed around for clues, but none matched it very well.
So anyone got any title suggestions as to which game I am thinking of here?

Acethor Star General [APPROVED]

ESA protection time has expired, and no buylinks found.

Amazon Marketplace is discounted.

EDIT: Note, the other four games in the 5 star series are already on site.

I don't see a buylink for Panzer General 1. But 2 is in stock. The rest are Amazon Marketplace.

EDIT: They're all Amazon Marketplace, except Panzer General 2.

nemesisuk I could not see Allied General in the ISO cellar, but it is not a big file anyway. Also in the oldwarez list, it says allied general is panzer general 2 - that is not correct. PG2 is a completely different game. (maybe this is where the confusion is, because PG2 is a big game!)
As far as Star General is concerned it may well be in the oldwarez list, but it maybe out of date now, and if you can tell me where I can buy it then great, because I have trawled the internet and have found nothing.:bleh:

DoomYoshi Sorry to belabour the point, you two, but Star General is stills sold according to oldwarez list. If you can prove it is not sold, which is difficult since it is impossible to prove a negative, you can add it.

Fantasy General is available on the main site. Allied General is available in the ISO cellar. I and one other person have suggested adding this game recently, but it is huge.
