im not sure what the point the original poster was making, maybe that because its being sold in any format, its not PC abandonware? which he might well have a point over. i know that hosting the capcom arcade game "alien versus predator" arcade rom (that you cant buy either) causes fox's lawyers to go mental (alien/predator being fox movies)
i guess you know that abandonware is more a moral concept than a legal one, seeing as its not legal as such.. just that companies might not care if theyre not trying to sell it, if its not pointed out to them.
my advice, for what its worth, would be not to host mortal kombat, its too much of a warez kiddies dream game.. and might give you legal grief if midway or whoever find out about it.
