K-Lite Codec Pack is freeware, and contains all codecs within the package.

yes, but i meant that he has problem with his player, since he had problem with downloading codecs via it

K-Lite Codec Pack + Media Player Classic should play most movies.
You can also try using VirtualDub to convert the video to a different format.

Aha, so DOSBox detects your operating system and links to the appropriate codec accordingly. So you shouldn't have any problems. And yet you have. Sorry, it worked for me.

odd, in mine, the video subfolder has an option reading "install movie codec windows 9x"

ok,ill try that, it senty me to the microsoft help page..ineed acodec called "rgb4"..

No gpood, it tells me "The codec you are missing is not available for download from this site. You might be able to find it on another site by searching the Web for "{E436EB79-524F-11CE-9F53-0020AF0BA770}" (this is the WaveFormat or FourCC identifier of the codec). " so i of course did that and got nothing that helped me.
