Cher to the Z Thanks all! I had figured it out and set dosbox to 44000 then changed the buffer etc. Works great now, thanks!

Scatty Click on Edit configuration in DosBox folder in Start menu and in the dosbox-xxx.conf file (xxx - version of DosBox installed) search for [mixer] and change the following:

blocksize=1024
prebuffer=128

to

blocksize=2048
prebuffer=512

That should help the sound / music skipping. If necessary you can raise prebuffer to more, but blocksize of 4096 would make the reaction of sounds too slow.

Music skipping in old games

I'm sure if this is a dos box thing or something I can set on my computer but I've been playing 2 games, Dylan Dog: The Murderers and King Quest 6. Both games, the music will play....but it skips constantly.

Is there a fix to this? Or does anybody else experience the music skip?
