I'm guessing there's some quirk of the used version of RAR compression format. We'll just have to batch-repack all of them

Cheers for your help, everyone. I use gamebooks for my comedy site for a feature called Dickass DM, where another comedian and I play thorough them in a parody style, so these are a godsend for material. If people are interested I can post links?
Hey, sure!

NBRBH Diceman #2 throws up "Compression Type Not Supported".

If I go through all of these and report any errors I find, would that help people?

_r.u.s.s. by the way, did you try getting 7-zip..

Lulu_Jane Red Avatar runs Vista, so we can ask him to test the archives when he's around.

NBRBH I would never call myself "an expert", but I'm the guy in the office people turn to when they have a problem and can't be bothere to deal with technical support. I wouldn't normally have asked here, but it's baffling me.

NBRBH "have you tried selecting "open file" inside winrar instead of double clicking it? maybe you have something screwed up in auto open"

Just tried that. Same result.

I'll try again later. Weird.

As promised I tried it at work. My work computer uses Windows Vista as its OS, and uses WinRAR as its default unzip program.

I have tried downloading both Sherlock Holmes #1 and Freeway Fighter #1, and both return this error message in WinRAR:

"This archive is either unknown format or damaged."

I have never had a problem unzipping anything either at my home computer using Windows Vista, or at work using Vista + WinRAR before.
