Or, like The Game Creators Forum a new user's topics have to be examined by a mod or admin in order to be posted. But we could always blow their butts to heck........ |

I just realised that If we use the "No topic posting withouth one post" rule, new members cant start welcome-threads.... Altought we could explain to them that they need to post first before they can start topics.... |

rabadi | I like CAPTCHA. A certain forum with CAPTCHA that I visit requires posters to input the result of a random calculation, for example 6 * 5 + 2 - 7, so the posters have to input 25 before posting.

After much consideration, I think that not only this is a great idea but it might unfortunatly become absolutly necessary to counter all those stupid bots. Most of the users never see them because we have a great MOD/Admin team here, but the truth is that this board probably get 5/10 of those bots a day (I know that, average, I report or spot two of them a day)... And some of them are either downright annoying or even post XXX pictures with their XXX links... |

I think that maybe YOU are dreamers.. (Byrds) Freedom for all - even hit-and-runners. Otherwise some forums will die. MHO yog :brain: |

Tulac | CAPTCHA doesn't work too good. However this idea might be confusing to some users since 3xblah, and the potential social forum won't add to the postcount.
