Honkers | I'm 15, but geocities was the only free e-mail service I knew of, and I also heard that geocities filters out most spam. Anyways, thanks for the link and all the help, guys. I hope to be able to create an account someday. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Guide for DOS i am sure there is more to be found online. http://www.easydos.com/ Ports are kind of gates where your card is plugged in. it's lika a software address of the slot where the card is inputed. Interrupt number (IRQ) and other adresses (DMA...) are to define more specifically where your card is. once you set them correct your basically tell computer where you souncard is. windows 98 have this simplified as they do all the setting up for you (automatically detect). so do some games (if you use setup or soundsetup, sndsetup). edit: for more info on how to find the correct ports and address see windows help (press F1 when in windows). |

I actually tried to convince Dad to let me open a geocities account, but that didn't go over too well. Hopefully once I get my website published, I'll be able to convince him, but right now I'm not too keen on trying the same reasons I did last time I asked. Anyways, back on topic. I'm not really sure how to figure out what port it's in/on. I'm not even sure what a port is. |
