I remember playing that game at a friends house. AWESOME game!

It is, unfortunatly it has an extremely low replay value because of the fixed map... :not_ok:

Have beaten the game and special edition. Was AWESOME! One of my old favorites and a classic. The replay value is endless but it is quite a difficult game, but very well done! :Brain:

Replay value? Endless?

As soon as you memorize the map, playing any race is so easy... Just rush for Death and you usually win fast...

I never tried to memorize the map, and rushing Death isn't fair. =P It's much more challenging waiting for Death to expand and expanding yourself then having a clash over a city.

There should be some custom-made maps being supplied with the game, at least with the special edition - Legends of Urak. With them the replay value should increase to many additional hours. And the special edition also has a level editor supplied with the game which allows you to create own maps.

Well if that's adressed to me(me being the topic starter), thank you.So i noticed many of you have the game... could you please upload it?Perhaps the special edition(legends of uruk)?

BTW this brings us to another great game: Age of wonders. It's made in 1999, so i think it's not abw... oh well too bad... what a great game

Ah, these games are all awesome. I own both Lords of Magic and Age of Wonders and I played them both a lot.
Isn't there allready a part 2 for AoW? Is it worth a try or better stick to the first part?

DiamondSoul

Well, i actually have AoW2 but not the first one. I dunno, second one is great but i remember liking the first one better... the second one really doesn't offer a whole lot more then the first. :Titan:
i love the tactical combat in AoW, so fun.

Omuletzu

yes yes AoW rocks, but what about Lords of Magic??
Can somebody upload it?? Preferably with the legends of uruk(?) expansion set??
Please... :kosta: :kosta:

Isn't that game kind of big to host on the web site?

Oh i seriously doubt that!

I'll check later today how big is ISO be or install folder when ziped.

I’ve not played this game for about 5-6 years. It is time to remember all great races and tactics in this game.:D

I have Lords of Magic Special Edition (including Legends of Uraks) but I have no idea how I could rip it and upload it.

And it might still be sold anyways, I bought it like two years ago...

Alcohol 120% (http://trial.alcohol-soft.com/en/) is a great software to create most CD images.

I don't think images is what we want.

Or maybe I'm just really clueless...

What do you like is zip of the game that is already installed, but as far as I remember, Lords of Magic requires you to have CD in drive while starting the game (not so sure if you need it while playing), then ISO image is better solution, or you have to create CD fix (there might be one on the net)...

Other solution is to find if sombody already did all of this. :D

I prefer to have ISO if I can, because that's real copy of the game, but some games got too much junk on CD. (good example is Syndicate Plus where two games are about 20-25 Mb with documentation and the rest of 100Mb are ads about comming releases)

Lords of Magic has some really great voice acting. :)

I wouldn't say that at all. Well, my version of the game is in German, so the speech is German too. It sounds often really stupid and unnaturally. It annoyed me every time I played the game.

There's a really interesting secret in legends of urak. You need to click on the hole in the center of the wheel ( 5 times) it allows you to play a secret quest.

ISO is 574Mb (there are 3 demos on the CD and some other crap too, but still big).

Hahaha, i hate it when games are translated so badly into other languages, totally ruins the game. The voice acting in English is so good, why ruin it?!

Game runs fine on XP, like most of Sierra titles I played.
