Why is it not practical for you to use a DOS emulator? Are they too hard to configure or is there another reason?
Dima, Settlers III is not abandoned, AFAIK...

No it doesn't, because the guy is not asking help to run an old DOS game, he's asking if there is a place he could download the Windows version. This have nothing to do with Troubleshooting.

Any emulator cannot replace the natively installed OS.

you know, there s lot of work with it and not everyone would want to do such a thing. some people dont know how to work/install drivers in dos, iam not even talking about lazyness of ppl who even know how to (look at me :D )
+emulator can fix settlers2 without any problems

oh by the way
1. we have settlers 2 on abandonia =/
2. if settlers 3 is abandoned then your previous post is not allowed and site you gave link to offers ESA protected games, that can cause some problem too...

I know that - in fact that's why I built a DOS machine a while back.
I was asking the original poster why HE does not want/can use a DOS emulator (and why cannot he use a DOS/Win dual boot on his machine).
