(Mine is a Spanish Dragoon from Sid Meier's Colonization--what is WTF? You're right Bobbin, I made it bigger. It's just that I use it in another ABW site where maximum avatar size is 32x32, and besides this corresponded to 1:1 scale. Keeping the pixelation is of course a desired effect.)

I reckon that's going a bit too far. Scarecrows avatar is unique and it sais alot about his personality. Im still trying to work out exactly what it sais about him... but thats beside the point. I think its good.

Okay, people didn't recognize any shape in my previous avatar so I've changed it. I like pixelation, it's abandonish, but an avatar which means nothing to most people is not right. By the way my previous post was from Colonization by Sid Meier (the same guy who made Civilization), a cavalry soldier it was (a dragoon, Spanish into the bargain). This current avatar is from the same game, so how do you like it?

Yes... I liked my old avatar very much, conceptually maybe even better than this one. The problem was that it was as you said only for those who have played Colonization--and it's been played by quite few people, compared to what one would firstly think for so mythic a game. People who haven't played Col didn't even see a guy on a horse! :blink: 1024x768 graphics have ruined people's imagination! :wallbash:

The image quality is good, and not going with personal preferences (unlike some other people in these forums, tightwads) there's a very nice black border, properly slim, and I like the grey colors.

The only problems would be that it's rather small, and the head in the image looks kinda weird.

I wouldn't have known what the symbols mean if you hadn't mentioned it, but I always find chinese symbols fascinating anyway.

The symbols stand out well against the white planet. But the planet is not centered, which I think spoils it slightly.

It fits me because it's my avatar in all the other sites I hang around. The most basic use of an avatar is to make it easier for people to recodnice you. The only reason that my username is Elon Yariv because it's my real name and I wouldn't switch it with anything... well thats the reason of doing so now but at first I just couldn't think of a username.
