I dunno who made this one but DAMN it was fun. Probably lost some of the fun over the years but a great racer nonetheless.

This's a hard nut to find  Searched for an hour. Only Titus the Fox, Dragon Knight 1 and 2 and those Sierra adventuregames've got me to look that long, the latter because they were all non-downloadable.

(sorry if I'm kinda reviving a dead thread here).
I've actually been trying to find the first two Megaraces. I know Classic Gaming Archive has it but they have that stupid credit setup and it's higher than the credits go to when you even start (and as much as I'd contribute, they don't even have that set up). If anyone can especially get the second one, that'd be amazing. I discovered MR2 from a demo I played of it off of my Pac in Time cd (which I believe is still somewhere, I can prolly contribute that game if it is abandonware by now, should be since it is kinda old).

I'm pretty sure it is Abandonware, CGA has the full game for download, you just have to wait 8 years to expend all your time-earned credits to get it. So if you could possibly up it GrundleGod, I'd kiss your feet (or just give you a hand shake, whichever you prefer).

Hi,

I just remenbered one of my favorite early childhood games and thus I searched the hell out of the internet without getting anything. So I ended here and would appreciate any kind of help to get this game back to my screen. Also, tips which concern the compatibility with Windows Xp are welcome; I would start with DosBox and maybe a CPU-Killer.

Thanks for any efforts.

Posting here or Mailing to this one:

I've been searching on mobygames, here, and HOTU, but I'm coming up empty. I got the game in 1994, but not sure if it was released then or not. I got it in a package along with the computer that was purchased for me... I -think- it was a Compaq, but could have been an HP.

Anyway, the game came on a CD and was a third-person futuristic racing game. The graphics and gameplay weren't the best. Most (if not all) the courses seemed to go through this one city and some were rather difficult. The one thing I really remember from this game was the opening scene...

It was a dark-looking setup that had a blimp going by. The sequence took you through this city and into someone's livingroom where you came to look at what made a television set. If I remember right, there was someone in the room watching the television and it came on and said the name of the game or something similar.

I'll be amazed if anyone knows this or can find it. Damned if I can find it.

Could it be MegaRace (http://www.mobygames.com/game/megarace)? It was released 1993, so it can be possible, that it was released in a package with new PCs a year later.

I also remember, that the game POD (http://www.mobygames.com/game/planet-of-death) was released in a bundle with a graphic card. (The release was 1997, but this was the game I first thought of, when I read your post.)

This was a game that I played on my grampa's then new computer. It came with a bundle of games. Anyway it was a furtristic racer gameshow. Before the races was some FMV sequences with the game show hos anncoing something and I think it even had some cheesy mock ads for the amosphere of the game. Sorry that is all I can remember I would love to know what the name of this forgotten title is. Also I think it might of been a Win98 or 95 game.:thanx:

Maybe but this is on PC. If I recall I think the game show host wore a yellow suit.If I recall correctly I believe softwhare Toolworks made the game.

Megarace 2 is AW according to the list, and Mindscape has a 10-year protection period (therefore expired for this game).
