Have you tried running it on Dosbox or only on windows?

Apocalypse is very hard to run on modern computer. Sometimes it works fine without any kind of change, other times it just refuse to run altogether.

First logic step would be to suggest to you to use DOSBox. However, it would be usefull to know your computer specs and your OS before that.

I have a whole site dedicated to Xcom games which I can try to dig out of my archive. I used that site a long time ago to make Apocalypse work on my '98 machine and it worked fine. If you still have problems, I'll look for it.

Do you mean "This file is not suitable for running 32-bit Windows applications"? That's an entirely different message - search for the troubleshooting thread about autoexec.nt.

Ooh.. Judging by your username you're Icelandic. Velkominn :max:

My brother finishes X-COM Apoc at least once a year, and he's using XP now. I'll ask him how he get's the game to run. He's not home atm but I'll try to remember asking him when he gets here.

Type in C: . That's one of the basic commands there are. [drive letter]: changes the drive to the one whose letter you have specified.
