You sure the WindowsXP firewall is disabled, too? Maybe it was, what Titan was talking about, he wasn't very clear ;)

If that doesn't work: Are you connected to a router? It's possible that the router gave your new PC another IP than the old one. So some ports, that needed to be open, are just open for your old PC. At least that's what I think.

not really game related. I suggest moving it to technical.

As for the discussion. A firewall or changed ip. (or you got banned on all :)

Are you by any chance behind a router now and weren't before? You might have to make a few port redirects on it then...

How can my IP could be changed... I'm through LAN and normally if on the old computer works then on my new computer should work. The internet is working very well only connectin on the DC++ doesn't work...

It has something to do with ports. Internet is on port 80 (http). DC++ is on another port. Something is probably blocking this port. It could be the firewall, could be the router, could even be your provider.

You do know you have the ability to do that yourself?

As others have said, most likely its a router problem. Got to http://www.portforward.com/ and find your router and follow the instructions for using DC++.

Look.. we'r almost 100% shure that it's a Router/firewall-issue here.

You say yourself that you are connected to a LAN, and the odds for the new computer reciving the SAME IP is slim.. and also VERRY likely, is that your Client is NOT configured correctly, eg. You have not defined the same connection-port as the old client had, and will get issues with the firewall.

Have you tried running it in PASSIVE-mode? Will it connect at all in passive?

When we say IP has changed, we'r not talking about you PUBLIC IP, the one you have on the net, but rather your LOCAL, that usualy looks like this: 192.168.XXX.XXX or simulare (not the 127.0.0.0/localhost)

Take a look again, and get back to us.

It's hardly ever the software-firewalls that give you trouble, but the real one.
