Still a good game...

Only nothing can beat the original lemmings...that was so good :ok:

Btw: Does someone know if there is a lemmings 3d in construction??

I have Lemmings 3D, and it was kind of fun, and very cute, but there is absolutely no way whatsoever to get it to run under Windows XP. Which is really annoying.

There was also Lemmings Revolution a while ago, which had 3D graphics but 2D gameplay- the levels were wrapped around a big column (hence the 'Revolution', as in revolving.) Never actually seen it for sale though, so I think it's quite rare. I don't suppose it's Abandonware yet, is it?

Anyway, Holiday Lemmings, Yippee! I love Lemmings. The only problem is whether to play this now, or wait until December.

Just found a demo of Lemmings Revolution, if anyone's interested:
http://www.utahdesign.com/lemmings/downloads.html

It's in foreign (german, I think), but you can still play. I can't even solve the first level, I need to get back into practice.

Oh, and I just remembered- there's a Lemmings platform game called The Adventures of Lomax. If that's abandoned, I would kill to get my hands on a copy.

Thats strange. The copy that I have runs perfectly in XP. Its not that bad a game. Just not as good as the more traditional lemmings.

Why, all the "new" games who "sports" "3D graphics" are doing exactly the same... Unless you got your hand on an holographic monitor without telling us? ;)

I just downloaded all the lemmings games here and i cant get any of the to work, not even DOS box. Is it because I'm running 2000 professional because with some games it does the same thing, opens, half loads then disappears. If anyone has 2000 Professional and got this game to work can ya tell me how pleeeeeeeeeease. I love this game! :wall:

@tommygirl

You can always download the ADF file (various websites "offer" it... or using a Torrent)... Then you can play it through WinUAE for example.

It seems you are trying to run the game in plain Windows. I strongly suggest you use DosBox (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net) instead.
You can download it here (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/download.php?main=1).

If you have any problems with it, try having a look at the official FAQ (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php) on the DosBox site.
Basic Setup and Installation (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=Basic+Setup+and+Installation+of+Dos Box)
Command Line (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=CommandLine)
Z instead of C at the command prompt (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=FAQ%2FI+have+got+a+Z)
Internal Programs (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=Internal+Programs) (important, especially MOUNT)
Most of the stuff in there is not really needed, but you would do best to familiarize yourself with the specific topics I linked to.
The mounting of your DosBox games directory, switching the promt to the emulated C: drive and clearing the screen from previous commands can all be executed from the [autoexec] section of dosbox.conf (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=dosbox.conf), so you won't have to re-type them every time round.
Frontend programs (http://dosbox.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php?page=DOSBoxFrontends) can help running DosBox with varying configurations for different games.
For both a more accessible user interface and oldschool feel, you can use Norton Commander (get it from our programs and utilities page (http://www.abandonia.com/main.php?nav=programs) - scroll down to the bottom to find it). NC might seem awkward at first, but in fact it is a very functional genuine DOS era file manager frontend. It has a plethora of functions that will help you in navigating around the directories, while still retaining the command prompt.

Though all of this might seem complicated, it's very easy once you get used to it. So remember:

DON'T PANIC!!! ^_^

I`m having a sound problem, only that`s in DOSBox. I only hear pc speaker beeps instead of AdLib music. I think it comes from the installation of lemmings that is probably set to make pc speaker beeps. Does anyone know what to do in this case?

EDIT: For those who are experiencing this problem try to reduce the CPU Cycles around 3000 in DOSBox`s configuration file or if you use a frontend like D-Fend change the setting for the game profile ^_^ .

For everyone who like to play festive games around Christmas: this is THE perfect game. Especially made for Christmas, I used to look forward each year to the new release, with a demo of 3-4 levels for free. Incredibly hard to find an original box version of any of these games sadly enough.
