My favourite game of all times is Ambermoon.
It was only released on Amiga and in german. The company was Thalion. They had the best programmers for the Amiga system. Ambermoon was the first commercial game with a 3D-engine for the Amiga. An english version was planned and even produced but never got published, due to Thalion's financial problems.
The game has the most epic story of all games I know. It is the best RPG ever released. Todays RPG's may have better graphics, but no one of them is this good gameplay. Normally the was planned as a trilogy and Ambermoon was part 2. Part 1 was Amberstar. Tested it for a short time. Didn't like the feel of the interface. Part 3 was never released.
Thalion got bought by Blue Byte. The company behind the settlers series. Erik Simon, the producer of the first 2 parts, then made Albion. A little bit of Ambermoon feeling, but the story is to linear. Never tried to play thru the game.
