:bye: I'm running my old Windows 98 computer right now because my other is being used. I don't know how great of a graphics card I have on here. I can run things like Duke Nukem 3D. That's probably the most advanced thing I've run on it. I can barely play Starsiege Tribes on the lowest of qualities. So that's about my limit. I have 48MB of RAM on here. So if you know of a good game worth trying, post it here. I don't really like text stuff, I do like things like Civ. I'm a fan of top down stuff. And just recently I've taken up turn based games and 2D stuff.

Well, if getting is no question for you, and you like Civilization, and if you're a fan of top down view...try Dungeon Keeper :ok:

I actually just got that a little while back. It is a great game, but I need a break from that. It's hosted on Underdogs in case you didn't know.

You don't need a graphic card at all to run Duke Nukem 3D... I think you could run that game on a 486. :P

Try some adventures... those games can keep you glued to your chair for a long time. Or if you're fanatic of action games there are some great games like Blood or Cannon Fodder

I didn't say "I don't have a graphics card". And I'm only 15 so to tell you the truth, I don't know what a 486 is. I meant to say Tribes was the most advanced thing I ran. And I'm not surprised Duke only needs a MB, afterall it is a DOS program. Already played and loved 5 Days a Stranger and 7 Days A Skeptic :ok: . Those only made me jump a couple times LOL... I'm gonna look through those other games though. Not a big fan of point and clicks either. Some keep me entertained, but eh.
Edit: Ah, that guy said it, and that's who you were talking to...

Just to dispel rumors about the age thing being a valid excuse. Im thirteen and I know what a 486 is.

Okay, but I still don't know what it is :bleh: . I figured it was before my time. Maybe not.

If I remember if right, it was a processor just before Pentium started to rule the world

My first computer was a 286, and it was sloooooooow... There was a "turbo" button which made a lot of difference, as well as no hard drive and two big 51/4" floppy drives. LOL

Try Warcraft - Orcs & Humans. It's top-down Realtime Strategy. Can't download the game here, though.

486 was top of the line when you were about 4 years old. May I suggest a history lesson from Wikipedia?

Kudos to you. From your conduct on the forums I've expected you to be an adult - quite a surprise.
Most thirteen year olds one sees around can't make out the difference between an FDD and GUI (heck, usually they don't even know what either is).

Yup. Pentium 1 was actually initially given name of i586 - it was supposed to be a next generation - but since Intel could not copyright that, they renamed it to Pentium.

Hacking isn't dead nowadays, just less in the plain view.

Aw, sweet old days ^_^ I had a Commodore +4 then, with all those cool games and BASIC for programming. My 386DX came only 4 years later ^_^ And don't say but I have a 3.5 Ghz Athlon64 with 1 G RAM and a X800 Pro :D
