I voted adventure too. I'm guessing today's FPS, Adventure, RPG... are more or less all roled into one, so it's no big difference really.

No, the gaming industry's trying to kill adventure. Look at the games now.

FPS, Adventure and RPG are quite the same just because the gaming industry is trying to kill adventure

Few companies are attempting to keep it alive though.

Strategy games for me, as those take most of my time...
Gaming industry is not killing adventures... They just got another life trough combaining them with RPG, FPS and Strategy games. :)

I took me a while to map the list of choices exclusively to computer games, as most of the genres listed have matching tabletop games. I play computer games because I cannot often find people for tabletop games. I prefer the tabletop games to computer games for their social aspect.
I have a particular fondness for the Mayfare Empire builder series (otherwise known as the crayon rails series). Still on the topic of railways, I am also fond of the 18XX series (The computer game 1830 is a computer version of the boardgame). Formula De is a game of formula one racing. Liftoff is the boardgame that became Buzz Aldrin's Race into Space. Civilization has little to do with the Microprose game, but is a fine way to spend a day with a bunch of friends. Anything by Cheapass games is worth a look, as it is no worse of a financial disaster to buy a Cheapass game that you don't like than to see a bad movie in the cinema. Particular Cheapass titles of note are Save Doctor Lucky, Kill Doctor Lucky, and Give Me the Brain.

Any game that has more fun value than a lice and dandruff infested comb.
By the poll's standards, almost any game.
