6000 Abandonia Forum Members!

Probably bad. Most of them have zero post. But good that we got this much publicity

Why would it be bad?

Too many active members could destroy the forum (so if all 6000 member would start spaming we'd probably be in toruble), otherwise having more members isn't a bad thing. It's true though that most of them never posted (And there are only around 1400 people on the mailing list at the moment (so at least 4500 people joined the site for no reason what so ever). :blink:

There is a mailing list?

I am not on the mailing list, but joined to enter discussions on some of my favorite computer games. I participate in other discussions, as my mood (or pedantism) takes hold of me.

Sure is, everyone who's on it recieves the news about the latest update (unless an updater forgets to send it).

Even with 75% off all registered members not being active at all, this forum is IMHO on the verge of chaos. :crazy:

Most Discussion of games is drowned in a flood of one-time posts. There are just too many people, who write things like "Oh I used to play this game when I was young" or "Yeah, best game ever!". If one has a technical problem or is in need of a hint/solution, his or her post is shifted to the 2nd page within a couple of hours.

Like this, the content of the forum sinks into insignificance. The obvious consequence is to bother an admin or updater via PM every time you have an urgent request or important thing to say (broken links, missing files, additions, ...).

can only be good , people have friends atleast most people and those people tell their friends about the site and it get relly well known wich is good...

Well, I'm not saying that anybody who's a member is on a mailing list, but if you're not on the list and if you're not posting - what other reason could you have to join the site?

I guess most members are too busy and dont care about the site. Or, maybe they have got sick of it or something. Abandonia forums are really great though. If members join a lot, it would help, whether they post or not.
