Hey, I was wondering if you guys could have System Shock 2 on the site.

It's a fantastic horror/RPG first person game. I have the DL from HoTU, but at 148 megs (It's a zip with a lot of RARs in it) I was wondering whether it is too big or not. The RARs self-decompress, by the way, just to get that clear.

Please reply.

unless you can somehow compress them better, then a definite no but i think that it would be a good addition to the site if it definetley is abandoned and you can shrink it somehow

I have no idea how to compress it more without WinRAR which a lot of people don't have.

I am also unsure of its abandoned status, HoTU can be a bit risky on things like that.

It comes with sounds but I don't think it comes with music. The sounds are excellent and pretty vital to the game's horrifying effect, so I don't think that they should taken out.

too large.
maybe as a vip game.
but then again it's a rip it's no use there either.
So no go.

Nope, HotU's version does come with music. It's just that music isn't ALWAYSplaying, only during key points, and only background hard-techno or something.

Oh... I guess you could probably get it down to about 100 mb then, if you really tried. I'm no good at this kind of thing, I play games, I don't do anything useful with them.

This game is an egoshooter/adventure. the player moves throug a huge orbital platforn that has been infested with alien lifeforms while the stations AI goes renegade. the player gets rewarded with cyber moduls for successful missions that can be used to upgrade the alter ego.

The version from HotU strangely does, though. I have SP2 and everything and it works perfectly.

Second that.
Got it from HotU way back then, went through the whole game without a single problem (besides the cutscenes missing, which still bothers me XD), got bored of it and deleted it.

Was a pretty good game though.

For those who have problems with the game, try this FAQ (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69958), or Google for a XP-Patch, as far as I can recall, there was one out there.

Third that. I also have the full game on a CD and have no problems with it in Windows XP. As for request, it's far too new to be legally available as free downloadable, I'm afraid.

Check the troubleshooting thread about this for compatability.

There is no way this will ever be on this site thus a [STEAM] tag can be applied to it.
