I played this game i think 5 years ago...and still loving this game...

What a great world has they created...so many things tio do and such a great maps without too much loading times..(same as in GTA3)

All the things in the game were just so good and balanced, the combat (specially shooting) the puzzles, the adventure parts and the story were all just so brilliant...

I hate it that they don`t make part 2 ever more....the game just needs a sequel...specially for the story....but it`s all over now

Ps. also very good: Riding that animal in the game  ...and the swinning courses...

I played it once. It's principially a good game, but the graphics weren't very good and setting the resolution higher didn't do anything. The story also was little funny, so I gave the game at the beginning already up...

bad idea.
The graphics were actually very good, IMO.
And the story turned out to be one of the most amazing storylines I ever played through in a game (very cinematic too)
If you still have it I suggest you give it another try.

I didn't play the game a very long time due to my slow pc. I liked the graphics very much. Cool voxel engine, like in comanche, but far superior. Is the game already abandoned?

I dont think so...

The game is too good (and too big) to be already abandoned, still see everythhing in front of me...the great town...the animals and the big city where you can sneek and hide great

I`m missing games like that these times....

I think you are talking about Outlaws made by LucasArts, Petter.

Outcast, eh? That game rocks. Friend of mine played it when I visited him years ago. Was thinking 'bout where I could download it, but I doubt it's old enough to be abandonware <_<

yep
it sure is.

In fact i'm going to pop the cd in the computer and listen to the wonderful soundtrack right now

Best thing is.
when i played it I didn't have a very good imagination (they say imagination decreases as you grow older, tis the opposite for me) so I didn't see any of the plottwists coming, or know how the story would evolve.

If i'd play it now i'd probably spot everything a mile away.

the story was pretty good...and the plottwists weren`t that suprising but still very good for a computer game (better than most movies today`s) but still if you could see it miles away it`s still a good strory (at least for me)

M`n i look like a sale man...always talk about the good things in the game...but i just can`t say many bad things about this old love from me

Btw: I still hopes part 2 will ever come (with more women in the game...they promosid it  ) so they can continue the story...this is an too open end for me...and i hate open ends...

well there was one woman in outcast... perhaps
or a very very sick male Talan indeed!

I like how it talks about Belgium sometimes
General: "yesterday we did, we sent a probe to the other side!"
Lade: "where did it end up? Belgium"

or when he is in Okasankaar (the muddy swamp place)
he says soemthing like:
"humidity 100% I was right... this IS belgium"

I like it how you could make the people revolt in almost every region (I don't think I ever got them to revolt in the main city)

Those are brilliant jokes from the makers....there were from belgium...only can`t remember the name for the moment
