As far as I know i dont think its really sold anymore, possibly amazon sell it, but some other games here are also sold in amazon.

Silver is a pretty awesome game where you go hacking and slashing and lunging and stabbing using a suprisingly effective combination of mouse and keyboard.

Fight daemons, monsters, imps, humans, more imps, odd demon monsters and the odd incubii

Its a pretty awesome game which im sure would find a lovely home here at abandonia. (If its abandoned that is *crosses fingers*)

Mmm, it was good, but battle was uninspired and there was a dreadful mechanic when it came to fighting with multiple team mates.

Agreed. I quit because of the lousy AI in combat.

Anyone ever play this game? It's a 3D action/RPG. Used to own this game until my CD broke. Was a very fun game, but I don't hear anyone talking about it, it wasn't very famous.

Great game if it's abandoned!

Well, Windows XP is not the only thing it hates. You guys may not believe this but the way my CD got broken is by BLOWING UP IN MY DAMN CD ROM! :eeeeeh: There I was playing my game and the disc starts spinning really fast and makes this sound like a lawn mower... seconds later I get the blue screen of death. I click on retry. The game worked for a few more minutes, then the blue screen again... this time when I pressed retry the CD spun ultra fast and exploded, shards of the CD were found in the back of my computer later on when I went for repair. Scared the living hell out of me, it sounded like someone put dynomite in my computer, it made such a loud bang. The only thing I could do is look in horror and yell "DAD! The computer exploded!!"

In five years before i played a awesome and very realistic adventure game but i totally forget that name :wallbash: , but i can perfectely call all the details for this game.

First:

-This game is not below the '90 so i think is between 97 to 2001 (im not sure!).
-The game awesomely use 3d graphics for the main character. (like fps games).
-The game have static background image and is photorealistic(Like syberia)
-Its a adventure game that you kill monsters and you have a sword and also you see the character in 3rd person view (like in Syberia).
-This game is pratically like SYBERIA (every screen is a static image, only the character is dynamic), but is a rpg game that has a "lord of ring atmosphere".
-The game is 2 CD and one of the cd has red colours and the other CD has green colours.
-im not sure but i think this game came from a magazine.

LAST EDITED: -Use a "static-background-3D-characters" like the fifth horseman say.
-I remember that you play with a hero with a sword and armor.(but i dont remember the name of the hero)
-also i think it has a sword in the cd cover.(more images i dont remember)
-it mostly use "3rd-person-isometric-view"
And sorry for my bad english. Any help will be apreciated :kosta:

No is not this, the game is NOT fully 3D and have less good graphics i think is from 1999 or 1998!!! from what i remember it use looks like "jpeg image for the background".

PS: And forget to tell all of you is a fantasy medieval game like ultima but have a graphics look like syberia, i don't know how to say?!

King's Quest 8 (http://www.mobygames.com/game/windows/kings-quest-mask-of-eternity)?

The Fifth Horseman

Except for the static backgrounds part. That's what keeps me puzzled.

Though, the static-background-3D-characters thing was used frequently in PS1 games and their PC conversions (vide Dino Crisis, for example)

Nick-xx

No is neither king quest 8 and dino crisis , now to don't confuse more i think the game mostly use isometric view like strategy games, :unsure: , but the fifth horseman you are right!!! is that type of game that i'm trying to say "static-background-3d-characters" :ok: :;

ARRGH!!! This game would have to be named the same thing as the mineral, thus bringing up a whole mess of unrelated results. Unfortunately, I'm not very experienced with using Google's power search commands, so using them didn't help very much.

Although this game now qualifies as abandonware according to Abandonia now that Atari/Infograms has left the ESA and CD Access is no longer counted as a selling source, there were so many unrelated links when I searched for Silver as to make me unsure whether I can even mark this game as approved. Could someone from the Abandonia staff help me find some potential buy-links for this game? I'd really appreciate it if someone could!

i thought it's sold out now? Who's to say it was picked up by another, genuinely-valid source in the meantime? (CDAccess is no longer considered (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showpost.php?p=348473&postcount=4) a valid source.) As I don't know when last an Abandonia staff member searched for valid sources for Silver, I don't want to take any chances.

well, i didn't find any official sources

After how simple it was to get Silver to show up on Google ("silver 1999 pc game" is the precise query I used), I can confirm this game meets Abandonia's Definition of Abandonware (http://www.abandonia.com/vbullet/showpost.php?p=340837&postcount=2). Therefore...

Since the game is soon to be removed from GOG (http://www.gog.com/promo/last_chance_special_promo_270814), I decided to re-check its status.

Sold only on Amazon Marketplace (http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B00002EIV5/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new&qid=undefined&sr=1-2) (also on the Spanish one (http://www.amazon.es/SEGA-Silver/dp/B007BBTWRI/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1409335627&sr=1-1&keywords=silver+infogrames)).

I think we can tentatively label the game as "approved". Can anyone confirm that?
