yes.
Arena isn't working (or its taking a very very very long time to load)... i'm stuck staring at a black screen.

I believe the music is much better in sim city 2000 now, but I'm not sure.

That's all fine and good, but now Duke Nukem 3D is even much slower with it as it was with prior versions... :(
What remains as only Windows 98 to play it in now...

Have you tried VDMS?

Umm, actually no (forgot about that possibility  ). I guess I'll try that out, if Duke3D won't crash in Windows XP because of being a Dos game. ;)

Nope, with VDMS it's fast enough now, but the sound is crappy and choppy so slows the game still down. Windows 98 will still be better.

Didn't noticed it before. Now I did, but I don't use it. Just WinXp, Win98, and of corse DosBox.

VDMS is a little like dosbox, it simulates some dos hardware like soundblaster and MSCDEX and so on. Still, it is not everything that is simulated. It basicly means, that the games that normally works in windows without sound, now works WITH sound.

Dosbox works with more games, while VDMS is a lot faster. So if you have a game, that runs as slow as a snail in Dosbox, try if it works in VDMS. :ok:

VDMS can run some games that dosbox can't, too.
like TES: arena

I'm using VDMSound all the time. I hardly get a game in the way refusing to work with XP here...

I had some problems with the mouse in "Elder Scrolls - Arena" when I use VDMS. I don't know if it's me who's just a morron. <_< Thats the only problem I had until now!

* A very uncomfortable silence takes a strangle-hold on all of Abandonias forums...*
* Red Diablo tries his best to ease the tension, and says:*

- "Eerr, not at all Aaberg..."

*Somehow he fears this did not do the trick...*

:P :D

I have a little question: What is the keymapper and what does it do?

Sorry, just learned how to use DOS and DOSBox...

It allows you to remap your keyboard. If you have an azerty keyboard, for example, you can set it so that you're not typing in qwerty anymore. Doesn't work well for me, as only trouble I have, is when DosBox boots up in azerty, not qwerty.
