Need Hep With Duke Nukem I

I know this probably belongs to the hints section, but you can't start threads there and I couldn't find an existing one for DN. So I hope this passes...

Okay, in DN I / Episode 2 I'm stuck. Here're some screenshots of the situation:

There are three rockets, I shot down one already which open a hole in the floor and drops a red crate.

I shot all rockets and prepare to jump down one of the holes...

I'm down the pit and opened all crates the rockets did drop plus one that was already there and that contained the grip (which is needed to solve the level). But what now? How cann I get out of the pit? I can't jump high enough to simply jump out. I can grab the railing between each hole but I can't jump from there. I also tried running and jumping, but that didn't do anything either.

I guess I have to go down the hole though because I need the grip (the 3rd item in the inventory). Any ideas?

Well... after going through the hassle to make screenshots and opening this thread I found the solution. :crazy: Pressing "up" while haning on a railing will catapult Duke up and out of the pit. Maybe this thread will serve as a help for anyone that might ever stuble upon the same problem...
