Okey, this is easy.
Just tell, what would you take with you to island, what is small and there is just one, small tree in the middle of the island. And tell the another think: What are going to do on the island??

I'd take all those books I've always been meaning to read but never got round to reading. And a packet of Hobnobs, perhaps.
Shrek
29-11-2005, 12:36 PM
And perhaps a laptop with satellite internet connection :bleh:
and a TV, a refrigerator, a hot tub massage / jacuzi, and 3 beauty blondes, another 3 beauty brunetes - damn, I'm forgetting the red haired ones, better add a couple of these too - a private cook (can be a gorgeous lady too) LOL
even with all that, I will only accept to go if that happens to be a tropical island... and I want a helicopter, just in case I get bored with all that and decide to return to the civilized world.

I am on an island. An island called Ísland.

29-11-2005, 03:14 PM
What I'd take?
First off a small nuclear powered power plant, my laptop (with satelite internet conection naturally), my movie, music, book and game collection, a lot of food (along with a stove to prepare it on) and a deep water exploration sub (with my scuba gear - have to lear how to scuba-dive - and unlimited fuel supply).
That would do for now.
The other question that hasn't been asked is: WHO would you take with you?
I guess you all know Rainwife don't you

Isn't mainland europe just a really, really, REALLY big Island? :P
On an island? This computer would do me good. I can call for help on it, do my shopping, hack someones bank accounts

What would I take? Clothes. Can't be stranded on an island naked, nobody would come saving me then :P
I'd probably drown myself to kill my boredom after being on the island for one minute :bleh:

It would actually be a huge peninsule (as a part of Asia :bleh: ). Nah, it's a continent (although Africa, Asian and Europe altogether might be seen as an island).
BTW - why not get our own private Island and we could have abandonia meetings there (seems like we'd all have satelite conection on our laptops on our islands anyway...

I agree, but then again I don't have a laptop or a satelite internet connection...And what if we would remain without food ? I say we should eat each other.

The ability to get off of it. If that's there, then it's a good way to get away from all the rest for a while, and I wouldn't need anything with me.

if you bury all the money, how are you going to afford deathtraps?
Kon-Tiki
30-11-2005, 09:29 AM
By using your shovel to dig a moat 'round the burying place, then using it to cut down the only tree on the island. After turning its leaves into rope and using the coconuts as leads, you can then use it to fish for sharks, which you'll then put in the moat.

That sounds too complicated to be considered truly pirate-y. What about just some trap that melts you with a mug of grog.

Just use the leaves from the tree. :P
Hmm.... What would I take whit me? Oh, I know! Ya mum! Nah, kidding. I would take a special machine in which I type in what I want and it pops out. e.g Type $1OOOOOO and ching! It all pops out.
.:EDIT:.
Oh, and a powerpoint in the wall to charge it.

If those leaves're the type that have this little wax coating, they're no good. Those'll only smear it out, instead of taking over the crap. You could, of course, use a mixture of sand and a bit of water, but I doubt that'd go painlessly...

Well... if you're in the middle of the forest for a few days, with no toilet paper, and when the only plants're ferns and plants with a wax coating... but it didn't really smear it out. It just took a crapload of leaves, as it didn't take over anything. It's pretty damn annoying, but at least it's not fern-leaves :D That was when I was 14 or 15. Nowadays, I tend to take some spare toiletpaper along whenever going into the woods for a few days. Especially in winter. Moss... ok, but preferably not when it's mixed with snow/ice, and those're the times I usually go into forests for a few days.

A good old fashioned Australian Meat Pie, of course I'd only take one, I wouldn't want to get sick. And To answer the part about what I'd be doing on the island, well quite obviously I'd be eating a pie.

I'd probably buy out ESA and relocate them to the island, then buy out the rights to all the protected games and sit there and play them in front of the ESA people while they sat around with nothing to do because I made them lose their jobs.

I have to take every think, what I have in my room! :)
So, I think that I just have to move my room to the island and stay there...........
