I agree, they are pretty different to compare.

I would have said Family Guy a few months ago, but after watching a lot of them, they're all kind of the same.

Yeah I agree hard to compare voted for both because I like both of those shows, both excellent in their own right.

Both have some great merits, but overall, I find Family Guy has an edge in the writing (I mean, not only spoofing Elton John's rocketman, but going as far as William Shatners live rendition of Rocketman? Amazing.) over Futurama (which has it's moments as well).

I am going to vote for both. Though interestingly enough I have been watching far more Family Guy than Futurama over the last 5 years.
Both are clever comedies. The setting of Futurama is great and it has some great moments too. Still, the humour in Family Guy is on average better for me than it.
I would love to see new Futuramas but I doubt it any time soon. Have you seen the intro to the FAmily Guy's movie regarding Futurama? Funny. :D

I voted for both. Even though I have watched far more Futurama than I have Family Guy, as I only have Futurama on DVD, I remember loving what I have seen of Family Guy. And so I can't really make a decision of what I prefer as I haven't seen enough of Family Guy, but would love to. :ph34r:

Anyway I'd have to say the funniest show ever made would have to be Arrested Development. I don't think I've ever laughed as much in half an hour as I do when watching this show. It's pure brilliance.

4 production seasons (which are how the DVD seasons are organised) although they were broadcast as 5 seasons in some bizarre order in the states due to Fox screwing them around.

I've had enough of simpsons I've watched seasons 4 5 and 6 so many times I'm sick of them and the new seasons suck a 15" fat one. I'd vote Family Guy.

All of the shows (futurama, family guy, and american dad) were spawns of the simpsons. Or at least the same people who made the simpsons...

DEAR GOD NO!

They just finished showing an all new season here in Australia, last episode the old guy escaped from the hospital and they said there would be a next season, that will probably be the last.

I don't understand how a show as good as this can get such crappy ratings. They put it on at midnight here in Australia, it deserves so much better.
