If you link C&C Renegade (one of my fav WW games) or like the Command and Conqure Series, or Westwood Games, you will like a HL2 mod comin out called, Renegade X: The Dead 6. The team contains an expert of C&C Cypher (if you are on planetcnc you would know). Basiclly the team wants to make a Renegade, not influinced by Evil EA (So it won't suck) that and to keep C&C alive. Also the game takes place between Tiberian War I and Tiberian War II. This means we will have veicles like prototype wolverin.

I'd rather just play the regular HL2. Plus I haven't liked C&C since Red Alert 1 + Aftermath expansion. Tiberian Sun was terrible in my opinion and the games after that didn't have the same awesome feel to them.

I would like to have a computer that could run HL2 before having HL2 and then maybe I'll check out some of the mods.

aaah
Cypher
Everyone's favourite Israeli.
I remember how he would engage in huge debates on the old C&C generals board (before they changed it)
He's great (If you think i'm rude, this guy takes the term 'rude' to new levels and beats you with it until you submit to his will)
anyway, I already know that.
But even better is this: Petroglyph games (http://www.petroglyphgames.com/)

Your link has absolutely no news in it. Just a company frontpage. What where we meant to see?

Perhaps if you read the page with the names of the people working at petroglyph you'd recognize them.

Actually I did see that there were a lot of Westwood games there but I don't know the names of that many programmers and Westwood in perticular never interrested me at all (don't really like their games).
C&C is dead anyway. Let them move on and do something orrigional.

Regular HL2 is definetly what I'm looking forward to as well. Although its only ca 30 hours of gameplay, the mods on the other hand will surely be a joy years from now.
Try this site (http://www.hl2mods.co.uk/) if your interested in HL2 mods. There's a rather interesting mod there, called "Empires", its supposed to be a cross between a FPS and a RTS. If it ever amounts to something I'll have to try it for sure.
As for C&C, yeah, Red Alert 1 was the last game in that series I enjoyed as well. Never played the expansion though.

I will admit empire sounds great but it is still a long way from playable by the looks of things. I hope it is not more hype then substance.

Indeed, the game is not even out yet, all they've got is an idea and a few models, I think.

^I used to use Hammer/Worldcraft alot a few years ago, mostly mapping for CS but some HL stuff as well. Although the new editor isnt exactly what I'm holding my breath to try I will no doubt use it alot once I've finished the game. What did you map for BTW?

FA, Whats that? Your mod? BTW whats that mod of yours about?
I was a bit more lucky with my maps since I had a rather popular clan server to play them on, much to the dislike of everyone but me. Of course most of them are gone by now since the server has been down for about 2 years, I suppose there could still be a player or two with my maps on their hardrives.
